Technical Specialist (Senior Analyst)

Technology and Digital Services

* Continuing, full-time
* $98,632 to $110,433 per annum (HEO7)
* Armidale, or Parramatta Campus - Flexible or hybrid work arrangements available
* Plus 17% employer superannuation
* Salary packaging options are available
* 20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum
* 20 days gender affirmation leave per annum
* 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
* 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum
* Relocation assistance provided

About the role

Join the University of New England (UNE) as a pivotal member of our Data Services team, where you will play a critical role in the ongoing maintenance and development of our integration systems. This position is not just a job; it's an opportunity to lead a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the user experience for our students and staff through innovative technical solutions. Your expertise will be essential in prioritising and implementing integration strategies that facilitate seamless data sharing across the university.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* A relevant degree and substantial experience in development, platforms, databases and/or integration.
* Experience using the Swagger/Open API framework, including development of: API specifications, RESTful APIs, web services, and automated unit/integration test suites. Experience with RAG and other interfaces for AI/ML. Experience in Oracle databases and middleware platforms is desirable.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in the analysis and design of integrations. Including the delivery of data to Large Language Models. Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Deep understanding of agile development, ITIL and quality assurance methodologies
* Outstanding communication skills with ability to lead technical teams effectively
* Strong autonomous work ethic with excellent prioritization capabilities

Technology & Digital Services (TDS) is a dynamic team focused on delivering innovative digital solutions that enhance the student and staff experience at UNE.
