Technical Sales Representative Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales results, managing distributor relationships, and promoting total company products to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive and improve sales results and performance to meet sales targets.
* Manage distributor relationships in your designated area.
* Actively call on end users to promote total company products.
* Develop and execute customer sales plans.
* Assist Product Managers on market surveys.
* Establish plans to grow sales with existing customers, in addition to growing sales with new customers.
* Partner with end-users and distributors to identify new opportunities.
* Project work from time to time.
* Maintain a high standard of ethics and consistency when dealing with fellow employees.
* Perform any other duties as directed by the Regional Sales Manager.
Requirements:
* A trade certificate or engineering degree or equivalent qualification is required.
* At least 5 years of experience in an industrial sales position is essential.
* Excellent knowledge of welding and cutting processes and associated equipment/consumables is necessary.
* Familiarity with welding applications in engineering, fabrication, mining, oil and gas, or pipelines is required.
* A minimum of 5 years in a similar sales role selling within the industrial market is necessary.
* The following skills/knowledge are also required:
* SAP software proficiency.
* CRM systems like Salesforce.
