Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician
As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of a fleet of high-performance plant, earthmoving, trucks & trailers. Your role will involve conducting routine maintenance tasks, identifying and troubleshooting issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and implementing effective solutions to prevent future problems.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintain and service a range of heavy equipment, including plant and earthmoving machinery, trucks, and trailers.
* Inspect and diagnose faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, utilizing technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute work assignments, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
* Evaluate and recommend corrective actions to address issues related to equipment performance, operator safety, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment operations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. In addition, you should be able to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
