About The Role
You will collaborate within a close-knit team in a customer-facing role. The team is highly safety-focused and process-driven, ensuring you are supported. Your responsibilities include completing scrap metal & e-waste collections across Mackay and working alongside yard staff.
The working hours vary, typically between 6 am – 4 pm, with overtime opportunities as needed.
Hourly rate: $35.70 plus a $12,000 per annum remote living allowance.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently
* Collaborate with the Transport Supervisor to complete regional deliveries
* Load trucks using overhead cranes
* Follow Australian rules and regulations for heavy vehicle operation
* Provide excellent customer service
* Adhere to all WHS and Heavy Vehicle Transport regulations, policies, and procedures
You are safety and customer-focused, a self-starter, and driven to achieve outcomes without compromising standards.
* Truck license is essential
* Forklift license highly regarded
* Road ranger experience preferred
* Champion a safe and efficient workplace
* High energy, positive attitude, willingness to learn
* Experience in metal, manufacturing, logistics, or construction industries is ideal
