We are one of the largest poultry processors in Australia, supplying major brands across QSR/FCD, General Trade & Retail markets.
An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced and dedicated Warehouse & Inventory Manager at our Geelong manufacturing site, Victoria. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and controlling our manufacturing processes to achieve cost-effective operations and maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
* To work with other members of Turosi management team to ensure company KPI’s and budgets are met.
* Manage, in conjunction with supervisory staff, the day-to-day operation of the distribution teams across multiple shifts, 7 days per week
* Allocate labour and equipment based on demand and priorities; manage agency/labour hire as needed
* Maintain the equipment and facilities of the Company to the standards required by Government regulations (PrimeSafe, AQIS and OHS).
* Lead toolbox talks, pre-starts, and incident reporting; participate in HSE audits and close out actions.
* Ensure all personnel adhere to all Company policies including Quality Assurance, Safety procedures and other Company rules and regulations.
* Liaise with Transport & Warehouse Coordinators to ensure that all orders are assigned & scheduled in a timely manner.
* Review and update operational documents and SOPs in line with evolving business needs and industry standards
* Maintain accurate data entry, record keeping, and reporting across inventory, orders, and invoicing
* Manage pallet inventory, pallet stock taking, reconciliation systems & reporting
* Provide weekly SOH reports. As required
* Maintain control of inward/outward movement s of pallets & FG Crates for stock taking/reconciliation
* Preparation of consignment notes, together with any schedules required by cross docking facilities.
* Ensure customer satisfaction when liaising with major customers incl. Woolworths pallet stack updates, transport scheduling & invoicing as required
* Oversee Freight scheduling & interstate bookings as required
* Ensure that the Distribution facilities and personnel, practices and processes comply with the relevant statutory authority requirements, particularly Chain of Responsibility (COR), PrimeSafe, AQIS, and the Australian Standard for the Hygienic Production of Chicken Meat for Human Consumption.
* Promote and maintain a team environment to achieve and maintain the highest quality standards.
* Ensure that all distribution areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
* Keep Management advised of any changes likely to affect the delivery of customer orders.
* Participate in warehouse layout planning and implementation to optimise space utilisation and workflow.
* Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor performance, drive improvements, and support strategic initiatives
* Lead or contribute to projects initiated by Head Office that relate to inventory, warehousing, or supply chain optimisation.
* Hands-on leader with a “lead from the floor” approach & work flexible hours.
Knowledge/Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Business Logistics & Supply Chain Management or Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse and logistics supervision, ideally within manufacturing, transport, or FMCG sectors
* Significant experience in Warehouse & Inventory management in meat, food or related FMCG industry
* Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, develop, and lead teams effectively
* Strong problem-solving and planning capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
* Proficient in warehouse management systems, Microsoft platforms, inventory control, and material handling equipment.
* Solid understanding of supply chain operations including transportation, distribution, and stock management.
* Demonstrated experience in implementing health, safety, and environmental policies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of exceeding performance and quality standards.
* Experience in managing change that impacts the team and business
