About the role
We are seeking a Credit Manager to join our team on a permanent, full‐time basis. As an Elders Credit Manager, you will assist with new client approvals and prepare client reviews. You will also monitor debtor exposures and, when necessary, collect overdue accounts, applying approved credit policies and processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess financial information and evaluate credit applications for approval
* Manage and oversee corporate and complex accounts, ensuring effective risk management
* Prepare clear, accurate credit submissions and supporting documentation
* Assist with training within the Credit Team and the broader Network
* Work to maximise the recovery of overdue and provisioned debts
* Assist with dispute resolution and recovery actions
* Provide practical credit advice and technical guidance to branch teams
* Provide back‐up to the Regional Credit Manager, offering leadership support and coverage as required
* Collaborate with stakeholders to maximise recovery outcomes while maintaining customer relationships
* Monitor debtor exposures and credit limits to ensure alignment with credit policy
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong understanding of credit risk management and financial assessment
* Proven experience managing complex accounts with a balance of risk and commercial outcomes
* Solid financial statement analysis capability
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Demonstrated experience in mentoring or supporting team members
* Experience in the agricultural sector or a strong interest in rural industries (highly regarded)
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or a similar discipline
* Current and valid driver's licence
