FIFO Security and Emergency Services Officers
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Marlu Resources Group Pty Ltd as a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) Security Officer (SO) or Emergency Services Officer (ESO).
As a FIFO SO or ESO, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of the mining operations team at one of our Tier One Mining companies, WA.
This is a casual role with a flexible work schedule, allowing you to balance your work and personal commitments.
What you'll be doing
- Providing emergency medical care and treatment to injured or ill employees on-site
- Maintaining detailed medical records and reports to ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Coordinating medical evacuations and referrals to healthcare facilities as needed
- Collaborating with the site management team to implement and improve safety protocols
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience as an Emergency Services Officer or Paramedic, ideally in a remote or mining/industrial setting
- Strong emergency medical skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse team
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- A valid HR driver's licence and the ability to work on an 8:6, 7:7 roster
Mandatory qualifications
- Cert III in Emergency Response & Rescue (ESO's only)
- Cert IV in Health Care (ESO's Only)
- Operate & Maintain 4x4 Vehicle Certificate
- Collect Specimens for drugs of abuse testing
- Candidates with BHP and RIO inductions is highly advantageous
