**About the Role**
In this Permanent Full-Time position, you will play a strategic role in supporting the Manager of Engineering Services. You will review and create high-level documents and reports, be instrumental in developing new policies and processes and quality control all documentation relevant to the manager.
- Research, analyse and prepare reports on current issues relating to the Engineering department.
- Develop/review policies and associated documents that guide and support the delivery of departmental responsibilities and organisational goals.
- Provide monitoring, reporting and recommendations to ensure the achievement of strategic and operational activities and goals.
- Assist in strategic narrative and advice to the Manager on matters relevant to the department.
- Develop business cases, works programs, reports and correspondence for the Manager.
- Investigate, resolve and respond to more complex requests or customer enquiries on behalf of the Manager.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident, driven and self motivated person, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of people. You will be experienced in the change management process, have exceptional writing skills and a keen eye for detail. Being highly organised, having proactive problem solving skills and a high level of business acumen are highly regarded attributes in this role.
- Extensive experience in preparing or reviewing a range of communications, including policy development, relating to the Department.
- Ability to monitor and report on the operational and financial performance of the Department.
- Experience identifying business improvements and project manage the delivery of initiatives or projects to enhance department outputs and outcomes with effective change management.
- Highly developed research, analytical and investigative skills, including the ability to source and interpret data.
- Sound political acumen with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a sensitive and/or confidential environment.
