About the OPPORTUNITIES
We have multiple vacancies for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) to join our F-35 Lightning II fighter jet program within our Aerospace organisation. A Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will be responsible to the Team Leader for carrying out scheduled servicing and unscheduled maintenance activities across various aircraft platforms.
These positions are based at Williamtown, NSW, on a 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday, 38 hours). Note: relocation support is available for candidates living outside the Williamtown, Hunter, and Maitland regions.
Key RESPONSIBILITIES
* Carry out a range of structures tasks including bore and surface corrosion removal, sleeve/bush installation, bonded nutplates, and panel installation.
* Perform Low Observable repairs and restorations on the F-35, alongside traditional structures work such as minor component replacement, bracket manufacture, and unit-level modifications.
* Produce, maintain and repair sheet metal, bonded and composite components in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
* Accurately document all work performed, ensuring certification requirements and timeframes are met.
* Report and escalate defects, deficiencies, or non-conformances, and action engineering advice as directed.
* Conduct maintenance activities within your delegated authority while upholding quality and safety standards.
About YOU
* Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade i.e. Cert IV Aeroskills – Structures (Mandatory).
* Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence NV1 Clearance (Mandatory).
* Experience or a strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment.
