About the role
The Maintenance Planner – Events, is responsible for the planning and discrete scheduling of complex, multidisciplinary major overhaul activities across the site. Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Leader, the Event Planner ensures that all planned maintenance tasks are fully scoped, resourced, and communicated prior to handover to the Maintenance Teams for execution.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and coordinate major overhaul work packs, work instructions, and schedules.
Ensure all planning activities meet site safety and operational requirements.
Ensure planned work complies with the Pigment Plant's Environmental Management System and statutory environmental obligations.
Develop effective working relationships with site personnel, contractors, and service providers.
Apply a structured planning approach to support long-term maintenance and budget objectives.
Consult with stakeholders to produce accurate and complete work packages.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to obtain required equipment, materials, and services.
Use the site's ERP system to prepare accurate plans and schedules, ensuring all corrective work is captured and costs align with execution timelines.
Monitor shutdown progress and maintain KPI scorecards, documenting issues and recommended improvements for future events.
Review and refine planning processes and procedures to improve efficiency and outcomes.
About you
To be successful with your application you will demonstrate;
Mechanical Trade or Mechanical Engineering Qualifications
(essential)
Minimum of 5 years Maintenance planning experience in complex processing plants
(essential)

Minimum 2 years Major Maintenance Overhaul planning experience (Highly desirable)
Advanced proficiency in MS Project & SAP for maintenance planning (essential)
Prometheus Maintenance planning experience
(Highly desirable)
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise work in a dynamic environment
Valid Driver's License
