What you'll be doing
The Patient Flow Manager shall provide leadership, strategic planning and direction in the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and coordination of patient flow demand and activity for the Patient Flow Unit and staff across the facility.
The Patient Flow Manager will effectively manage resources, ensuring optimal patient outcomes by promoting best practice through facility capacity/ demand management processes, staff development and research.
The Patient Flow Manager provides leadership and management to the Patient Flow Team.
The position reports directly to the Director of Clinical Operations (operationally) and the Director of nursing (professionally) and liaises closely with Program Directors, Department heads, Admissions, clerical staff, medical staff, allied health and NSW Ambulance.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and tertiary qualifications in management or related discipline and extensive clinical and patient flow experience in a tertiary hospital.
Demonstrates ability to develop, direct and lead a committed team to achieve organisational objectives.
Demonstrates ability to develop and nurture internal and external relationships through highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
