About Lions Outback Vision
The Lions Eye Institute (LEI) is a medical research institute that combines world-class scientific research and ophthalmic clinical care with clinics in Nedlands, Murdoch and Midland. Lions Outback Vision delivers regional and remote eye health services across Western Australia and has recently opened an exciting new eye health clinic in Broome in 2021.
The Opportunity
Based in Broome, this role is responsible for providing full coverage of reception duties and administrative support to all visitors and patients at the Kimberley Hub, ensuring a friendly and professional manner whilst providing the highest level of customer service at all times.
Key responsibilities will include:
Answer, screen and direct incoming phone calls
Receiving patients and visitors at front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
Make appointments for patients as directed by Doctors or the Practice Manager
Receive any incoming deliveries

Receive any incoming deliveries
Prioritise, manage, direct and distribute incoming telephone calls, mail, email, facsimiles and deliveries
Scan and file incoming referrals, reports or patient information into the patient record data base
Perform accurate data entry
Organise couriers and deliveries for other staff members
General office duties including the posting and collection of mail and picking up of office supplies as directed
Spot cleaning where necessary (vacuuming, wiping)
Pick-up / drop off patients when required
Provide support to the team when required and as directed
Support the Administration of Kimberley and Pilbara Outreach clinics as required
Monitor and action generic inboxes
Administrative tasks commensurate with the role
Essential
Year 12 School Certificate or equivalent competency.
Desirable
Previous experience with high volume switchboard activities and customer contact.
Typing and data entry accuracy skills.
