About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities across the facility. This role is a mix of leadership, planning, and hands-on support, ensuring equipment reliability, uptime, and safety are consistently achieved.
You will take ownership of leading a team of trades, coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical fitters and trades personnel.
* Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
* Ensure all machinery and plant equipment are maintained to food-grade standards.
* Support the implementation and optimisation of the site's maintenance program (CMMS).
* Coordinate breakdown response and provide hands-on technical support when required.
* Drive continuous improvement around safety, reliability, and efficiency.
* Assist with shutdown planning, contractor management, and spare parts control.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP standards, and quality requirements.
About You:
* Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent).
* Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar high-volume production environment (highly desirable).
* Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a maintenance team.
* Strong mechanical troubleshooting capability and understanding of automated equipment.
* Ability to prioritise and coordinate workload in a fast-paced setting.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
* Proactive approach to reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
