Halosoft is building AI-powered software for the financial advice industry.
Our products, including Meeting Ally, Advice Ally and Odin, help advice businesses reduce rework, improve consistency, automate advice workflows and scale their operations without simply adding more headcount.
We are not building generic AI tools. We are building practical advice infrastructure for real advice businesses, shaped by the day‐to‐day needs of advisers, paraplanners, compliance teams and practice owners.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Head of Delivery to help us bring more structure, predictability and discipline to the way we deliver product outcomes.
About the role
The Head of Delivery will be responsible for turning Halosoft's product priorities into clear, well-scoped and well-executed delivery plans across product, engineering, design and QA.
This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to someone who can operate in a fast-moving SaaS environment without slowing the team down.
You will own the delivery operating rhythm across multiple product streams, including web, mobile, AI automation, integrations, QA, release management and production improvements.
You will work closely with the founders, product leadership and engineering team to ensure the right work is being prioritised, dependencies are clear, commitments are realistic, and releases are delivered with quality.
What you'll be responsible for
Leading the delivery cadence across engineering, design, QA and product.
Translating product priorities into clear delivery plans, milestones and release expectations.
Improving sprint planning, backlog readiness, delivery tracking and team accountability.
Tracking committed versus delivered work across the team.
Identifying blockers, dependency risks and delivery slippage early.
Ensuring Jira is accurate, up to date and reflects the real state of delivery.
Improving the definition of ready and definition of done across the team.
Supporting release planning across staging and production environments.
Coordinating QA, regression testing, release checks and production validation.
Helping reduce rework, handbacks and unclear ticket scope.
Providing clear delivery updates to leadership.
Supporting retrospectives and continuous improvement across the delivery process.
Working with technical leads to ensure complex platform and integration work is properly scoped before it is committed to delivery.
Creating lightweight delivery structure that improves predictability without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
What success looks like
In this role, success means Halosoft becomes more predictable in how it delivers.
You will help the team:
* reduce sprint carryover.
* reduce blocked or unclear tickets.
* improve release cadence.
* reduce production regressions.
* improve QA readiness.
* increase visibility across product streams.
* improve confidence in delivery dates.
* reduce reliance on founders and senior engineers for day‐to‐day coordination.
* create a clearer link between product priorities, Jira activity and shipped outcomes.
About you
You are an experienced delivery leader who understands how software products are actually built.
You are organised, commercially aware and comfortable working across product, engineering, QA and leadership. You know how to create structure, but you also understand that early‐stage product teams need speed and flexibility.
You are confident enough to challenge unclear scope, unrealistic timelines and hidden dependencies, while still being practical and collaborative.
You will likely have
Experience in a delivery, product operations, project management, program management or engineering delivery role.
Experience working in a SaaS, software product or technology business.
Strong Jira and agile delivery experience.
Experience coordinating distributed or remote development teams.
Strong understanding of software delivery, QA, release management and sprint planning.
Ability to identify delivery risks before they become major issues.
Strong communication skills with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
Experience reporting delivery progress to founders, executives or senior leadership.
A practical, outcome‐focused approach to process improvement.
Highly regarded
Experience in fintech, financial services, wealth management or financial advice technology.
Experience working with AI‐enabled products or automation platforms.
Experience with mobile app delivery, App Store / Google Play release processes.
Experience with integrations, APIs or platform delivery.
Experience in a scaling start‐up or founder‐led business.
What we are not looking for
We are not looking for someone who wants to introduce heavy corporate process for the sake of it.
We are looking for someone who can bring calm, practical delivery discipline to a fast‐moving product team.
The right person will make the team faster by making the work clearer.
This is an opportunity to join a growing Australian technology company at an important stage of its development.
You will have a direct impact on how we scale our delivery capability, improve our product execution and support the next stage of growth.
You will work closely with the founders and senior team, with real influence over how the company operates.
