Summary Statement
We are seeking an experienced Cook with expertise in the pasta section, cold section and the ability to manage multiple sections. The perfect candidate should also be capable of working well with kitchen teams and showcase their knowledge.
You play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellence, upholding our standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Duties
* Organize and set up station, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are readily available.
* Reviewing the menu and daily specials, making sure you understand the recipes and presentation standards.
* Preparing and cooking a variety of ala carte dishes according to established recipes and guest preferences.
* Paying close attention to presentation, garnishing dishes with precision and creativity to enhance visual appeal.
* Collaborating with the kitchen team and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Supporting senior kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance and training to maintain a high level of performance.
* Follow Head Chef directions and complete tasks and duties assigned for the shift.
* Prepare and cook dishes in an efficient and consistent manner in line with our quality and presentation standards.
* Liaise with both Front of House Staff to ensure the service runs smoothly and customer service standards are met.
* Collaborate in planning and designing special dishes.
Work arrangements
* 3pm-10pm Monday- Thursday
* 11am-5pm Friday- Sunday
* 4pm-10pm Friday-Sunday
Employment conditions (including "special conditions")
* Commercial cookery certification and ideally you will have worked with a food safety system such as HACCP.
* 2 years' experience in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant environment and specialising in Italian cuisine.
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn new things and above all, a can-do attitude.
* Proficiency in preparing a wide range of breakfast dishes with precision and creativity.
* Willingness to support and mentor junior staff as necessary.
* Eligibility to live and work in Australia.

Pay: $30.10 – $36.12 per hour
