An opportunity has arisen to be part of the Civil Infrastructure Projects Team delivering civil construction works in accordance with approved plans and specifications and applying contract management practice, civil construction and works sites are set up in accordance with WH&S legislation and industry best practice requirements.
About The Position
The Civil Works Supervisor will deliver high level construction supervision, planning and project management of civil infrastructure renewal works and minor projects assigned to the Capital Works Department.
The position is responsible for ensuring that civil construction works are successfully delivered in accordance with approved plans and specifications and applying contract management practice, civil construction knowledge and surveillance.
Skills And Experience
* Substantial experience in supervising civil construction works with Trade qualifications associated with civil works, or graduates with tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Project Management and some industry experience
* Experience in delivering a variety of Local Government Infrastructure works
* Experience in civil construction management and delivering a variety of Local Government Infrastructure works within a live operating road network environment
* Demonstrated works management experience – from project initiation through to finalisation
* Legislative knowledge pertaining to WH&S, Australian Standards, Civil Infrastructure, applicable to the requirements of the position
* Knowledge and experience of the requirements of the Road Management Act Associated Regulations, Codes of Practice and Road Management Plans
