Receptionist – Afternoon Shifts | From $28/hr
Location: Surfers Paradise, QLD
Hours: 1pm – 9pm shifts, including Saturdays & Sundays
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and well-presented Receptionist to join our busy accommodation management team in Surfers Paradise. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with guests, can work independently, and has strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Checking guests in and out efficiently and professionally
* Verifying booking details and ensuring pricing and availability are correct
* Setting prices based on market competition
* Managing daily reservations and responding to guest enquiries (phone, email & in-person)
* Providing excellent customer service and assisting guests with local information
* Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams regarding room statuses
* Handling payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate records
* Monitoring building access, guest movements, and ensuring rules are followed
* Preparing end-of-shift reports and updating management on any issues
* Maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area
* Other administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
* Must be willing to work afternoon shifts (1pm–9pm), including weekends
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Computer-literate and able to learn booking systems quickly
* Reliable, organised, and able to work with minimal supervision
* Previous experience in accommodation, hotels, or customer service is an advantage but not essential
* Must have full working rights in Australia
* Experience with Little Hotelier,, Airbnb is a plus
Salary:
From $28 per hour, depending on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
