Senior Bookkeeper ( part time and full time)

The bookkeeper is responsible for managing a small finance team incorporating an Accounts Payable officer, Accounts Receivable officer and a Production accounting officer.

Natvia IP Pty Ltd is a privately owned Australian company that makes natural sweeteners and other food products. It sells its products in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Its major customers include Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and Metcash.
The group comprises one main trading entity and numerous other smaller entities that have traded specific branded products in the past and may trade again in the future.
POSITION
Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to assist the CFO in managing the day‐to‐day operations of the Finance function for Natvia IP Group by supporting the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, compliance, and financial accounting processes.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
* Accurately record all financial activities, including income, expenses, and investments, into the company's accounting system (Reckon Online).
* Manage a small team of accounts payable, receivable and production officers. Coach the team and implement improvements to practices and procedures as necessary.
* In conjunction with the business owner, manage the cashflow of the business ensuring the Groups receivables and outgoing payments are received and paid on time.
* Perform month end reconciliation of bank and credit card statements in a timely manner.
* Complete month end reconciliations for balance sheet accrual accounts.
* Prepare Quarterly BAS and Monthly IAS. Lodge these with ATO following review by CFO.
* Prepare annual workcover remuneration reconciliation and annual estimate of rateable remuneration. Lodge these following review by CFO. Track and adjust as necessary for movements in remuneration.
* Prepare monthly payroll tax returns and lodge these following review by CFO. Prepare and lodge annual payroll tax reconciliation following review by CFO.
* Prepare and manage the monthly payroll for Natvia IP staff.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting, collaborating with management to develop financial budgets and forecasts, and provide insights to support the company's growth initiatives.
* Liaising with external stakeholders such as Customers, Suppliers, and Government agencies regarding financial matters, queries, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Liaising with external accountant for preparation of year‐end tax accounts.
* Assist the CFO in any ad‐hoc tasks required to support the Finance function.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping or equivalent.
* 3+ years' experience in a Bookkeeping role or similar position.
* Australian work rights are essential for this position.
* Proficient with Reckon, Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Strong organisation skills, self‐motivation and accountability for delivery.
* Good business acumen combined with problem solving and decision‐making skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* High level of attention to detail and ability to develop error checking methodologies.
* Ability to prioritise own efforts on multiple simultaneous projects.
