Key Role of Actuary/Actuarial Analyst
This is a pivotal position within the organization, responsible for pricing all portfolios and implementing strategies across the business. This role involves working independently and having ownership over work, with opportunities to create enhancements that add tangible value.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and enhance existing portfolio monitoring analytics to support in-depth understanding of portfolio performance and identify new insights.
* Conduct comprehensive portfolio reviews and prepare stakeholder reports, suggesting rate and portfolio actions designed to meet stakeholder and customer needs.
* Design, implement and enhance technical actuarial models using best practice and innovative techniques.
* Challenge existing processes and lead change to streamline, innovate and automate operations.
* Collaborate closely with Business Intelligence and IT teams to manage Actuarial requirements.
* Support the Actuarial team in designing and delivering strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
* Hold tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline such as Actuarial Studies, Mathematics or Statistics.
* Be an Associate or Fellow of a recognized Actuarial Institute or Society, or in the process of obtaining.
* Display a strong customer focus, work ethic and commitment to excellence.
* Demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Have experience using statistical software (e.g. R) and programming languages (e.g. SQL).
* Experience in data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
