About The Role
This role provides essential support to Shoalhaven Water's Operations team, delivering electrical project engineering, asset management, and maintenance planning for water and wastewater infrastructure. The position is responsible for managing and supporting electrical assets, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies, preparing cost estimates for infrastructure works, offering expert electrical engineering advice, and coordinating consultants and contractors involved in electrical projects.
* Prepare Electrical Engineering designs including investigation, drawings, specifications, costing, reports, and associated documents.
* Provide quality electrical consultancy and engineering services to internal and external customers, such as:
o Preparation of electrical tender and contract documentation
o Detailed electrical design, including preparation of drawings and specifications and scope of work documentation
o Preparation and/or review of scheduled maintenance and repair programs
o Management and supervision of contracts and minor projects relating to the provision of electrical services and other contracts as required
o Supervise and support a work group within the Council to enable Council to function at an optimal level

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising four steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps will be based upon the achievement of performance objectives.
About You
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised experience.
* High level knowledge of best practice in asset utilisation and asset maintenance, including Australian Standards and legislation.
* Class C Driver's Licence.
* Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa).
* Demonstrated experience in:
o Project Management.
o Contract Management and Contract Administration, including management of consultants and contractors.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail‐oriented electrical engineering professional with strong problem‐solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while ensuring high standards of safety and compliance.
