About the role
As an Accounts Officer, you will gain hands-on experience across a range of finance functions while building a strong foundation in accounting. Supporting key operational activities such as data entry, premium processing and account reconciliations, you will contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our finance processes. Reporting to the Accounts and Finance manager, you will...
- Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate records of reinsurance premiums
- Assist in processing incoming and outgoing premiums under the guidance of senior staff
- Support monthly and ad-hoc reconciliation and administration activities
- Accurately receipt and allocate funds
- Prepare reports and escalate discrepancies as required
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for transaction clarification and documentation
The skills we are looking for...
- Insurance industry experience is highly desirable
- 2-3 years of experience in an administration or insurance support role (accounts or finance-related)
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles
- Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage routine tasks effectively
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field desirable but not essential
