Job Title: Category Manager
Lead the 'For Tonight' offer in Dinner, our most strategically important mission within Metro.
* Develop and execute data-driven category strategies with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
* Category Leadership: Negotiate with suppliers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Fresh Food Precinct, Supermarkets, WFC, Strategy and Brand and Reputation.
* Lead a team of two and work closely with FOMs to deliver.

Responsibilities
Drive sales growth and profit improvement by implementing strategic category initiatives that optimise product offerings and merchandising strategies.
* Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that align with customer needs and commercial objectives.
* Innovation and Agility; Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation and agility within the category to maintain a competitive edge.
* Develop and execute category plans that provide a clear roadmap for supply partners, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.

Requirements
Strong financial and category management skills, passion for leading, coaching and developing team, and demonstration of strong partnership skills working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders across the group and suppliers.
* Demonstrate success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with the divisional strategy and supported by sound commercial insights and data.
* Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
