CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE WORKER
About the opportunity
Port Pirie Regional Council is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and suitably skilled individual to join our dedicated Infrastructure team and help build and maintain Council's civil infrastructure.
This hands-on role includes concrete works, facility maintenance, workshop support, and emergency response.

Depending upon qualifications, skills and knowledge, remuneration will be negotiable between Grade 5 and 6 of the Local Government Award and Council's associated Enterprise Agreement with the flexibility of a 9-day fortnight.
About you
To be considered for this position, you must have:
* Sound knowledge of construction and maintenance techniques as appropriate to Council's civil infrastructure
* Knowledge of local government operations
* Knowledge of good customer service principles and practices
* Experience in relevant plant and machinery used in construction and maintenance
* Certificate III in Civil Construction is desirable
* First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain
* It is desirable that you have appropriate qualifications to operate plant and machinery
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to respond to building maintenance issues
* Basic understanding of mechanical workshop operations
* MR/HR licence, previous concreting experience and plant/grader operations are highly desired.
