We are one of the largest providers to the NDIS, supporting over 10,000 participants annually with the care they need, when and where it is needed. We adopt a multi-disciplinary team approach, building a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their families.

We are expanding our Behaviour Support team and seek experienced and dynamic Behaviour Support Practitioners eager to be part of a multidisciplinary team and make a difference. You will bring expertise, maturity, and strong time management and organizational skills to the role.

Successful candidates will provide support to NDIS participants in areas including Canberra, Queanbeyan, Tuggeranong, Gunning, Yass, Gundaroo, Belconnen, Jerrabombera, and surrounding areas.

No two days are the same You might work in childcare centres, schools, aged care facilities, day programs, the community, homes, or our clinic space. We hold regular team meetings, team-building events, and promote a fun, dynamic work environment where everyone can learn and grow together.

This role allows you to use your Positive Behaviour Support skills to evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support space, ensuring plans reflect participants' passions and interests and promote their quality of life. You will also build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those important to the participant.

On a daily basis, you will:

o Assist NDIS participants and their families or carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
o Evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans in complex support environments.
o Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in home and community settings.
o Ensure individual plans align with participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
o Build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those supporting participants, like family and carers.
o Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.
o Current suitability: Confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at the Core or Proficient level.
o Experience in mentoring and supervising other Behaviour Support Practitioners.
o Excellent time management and organizational skills for managing varied caseloads.
o Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and learning from new ideas.
o Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
