About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Enterprise Risk to lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of People First Bank's Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
As a senior risk leader, you'll be critical in ensuring effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the Bank's strategic objectives, while fostering a strong and positive risk culture.
You'll ensure the Bank's ERMF is contemporary and remains at the forefront of risk management practices within the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Risk Management Strategy.
Facilitate the development and ongoing maintenance of sub-level risk frameworks for all material risks.
Conduct assurance activities to confirm alignment of material risk frameworks with the Bank's risk management strategy.
Assess risk frameworks against better-practice principles and facilitate the development and delivery of improvement plans.
Develop and maintain the Risk Appetite Framework and Risk Culture Framework.
Establish and maintain the Risk Governance and Accountability Framework, founded on an effective three lines model.
Provide enterprise-wide leadership to uplift risk capability, awareness, and culture.
Ensure compliance with relevant prudential obligations relating to APRA CPS 220 and enterprise risk management requirements.
Conduct risk-based assurance activities on enterprise risk systems and risk culture.
Prepare and present clear, concise, and insightful reporting to support executive and Board decision-making.
Represent the Group Risk function at internal forums, executive and Board committees, and external stakeholder engagements.
About you
Significant experience in senior risk leadership roles with a history of successfully delivering outcomes.
Extensive experience designing and maintaining contemporary enterprise risk management and risk culture frameworks.
Deep knowledge of the financial services industry and APRA Prudential Standards.
Proven experience leading cultural and business change.
Strong capability in writing high-quality business documentation, policies, and Board-level reports.
Ability to synthesise complex quantitative and qualitative information and develop fit-for-purpose risk policies and frameworks.
Tertiary qualification in Business, Governance, Finance, Law, Management, Risk, Technology, or a related discipline is required.
