* Champion a strong health, safety, and environment culture, ensuring all activities comply with policies and procedures to protect people, the environment, and the business.
* Drive commercial performance across multiple business units, making informed decisions that balance short-term outcomes with long-term value.
* Anticipate industry megatrends and emerging challenges, integrating them into a forward-thinking resource recovery strategy.
* Set and manage operational and maintenance budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and efficient use of resources.
* Monitor and report on business performance, hold leaders accountable for results, and take corrective action to ensure objectives are met.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience managing large, diverse teams, with a strong focus on coaching, development, and creating a high-performance culture.
* Deep understanding of wastewater treatment, resource recovery, and related regulatory frameworks, standards, and best practices.
* Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary operations in a 24/7 environment, ideally within utilities or a similar sector.
* Extensive experience leading high-performing technical teams, with a focus on solving complex problems and achieving measurable outcomes.
* Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
* Strong knowledge of WHS, Electrical Safety, and Heavy Vehicle legislation in Queensland.
* Proven ability to shape and deliver strategies that drive performance across teams and the enterprise.
* Strong focus on operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and delivering long-term customer value.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, and a current C class driver's licence.
