The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts is seeking a motivated and professional individual to fill the role of Maintenance Coordinator. The successful candidate will support the operations of the department by ensuring effective management of physical assets across community and healthcare facilities in the Indian Ocean Territories.
We are looking for an applicant with demonstrated experience in developing and sustaining maintenance practices for facilities and equipment, as well as supervising and coordinating maintenance contractors or service providers. A proven ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships in a complex work environment while delivering outcomes and maintaining a high level of customer service is also essential.
The ideal candidate will possess high-level written and interpersonal communication skills, including experience in preparing project and procurement documentation and financial and performance reports. Experience tracking and managing maintenance using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), e.g. MEX maintenance software, and prior experience working in a healthcare environment will be highly regarded.
To be considered for this role, applicants must be an Australian citizen, hold a current Driver's License transferable to the Indian Ocean Territories, possess a valid Western Australia Working with Children Check, and will be subject to pre-employment screening and health assessment. A Baseline Security clearance with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency is required for this position.
