About Us:
We're a family of four living in Newman, WA – Mum, Dad, our sporty 9-year-old son, and a cheeky, curious 2-year-old daughter. We run three small businesses here in town and, like many families juggling work and kids, we've learnt that our home runs best when there's consistency, calm, and structure. So we're looking for someone who fits that energy. We also have a couple of friendly dogs, so being comfortable around pets is essential, too.
About the Kids:
* Our son is in Year 4 – a sporty, independent young man who loves a game of Uno, and at school from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm with after-school activities.
* Our daughter is 2, full of character, and your primary focus during the week.
What a Day Might Look Like:
* Helping the kids with morning routines and lunchboxes
* School and kinder drop-offs/pick-ups and after-school activities (family car provided)
* Light household tasks: tidying, laundry/ironing, keeping the kitchen organised, general home upkeep
* Grocery shopping, local errands, and market visits
* Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
* Engaging the kids in fun, age-appropriate activities and play
* Maintaining open and respectful communication with parents about routines, needs, and development
* Offering flexibility for the occasional evening babysitting or extra support on weekends or during school holidays
Hours:
* Monday to Friday
* 6:00 am to 5:00 pm (weekends free to go exploring Karijini National Park)
* Some flexibility is appreciated during busy periods.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Non Smoker
* Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Working With Children Check (WA)
* National Police Check
* Minimum 3 years' experience caring for children in any capacity
* C Class Driver's Licence, Confident, safe driver (your own car is a bonus – we provide one)
* Comfortable working in a home where a parent may be present
* Passionate about childcare as a career
* Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months, with potential to extend
* Comfortable around dogs and happy to be part of a pet-friendly home
* Experience with managed neurodiversity is an advantage
Accommodation:
* Fully Furnished Company Housing 1 x 1 Unit, providing personal space for you from the family home.
* You will be responsible for your own day to day utilites and living expenses.
Vehicle Provided: A car is included for school drop-offs, errands and local personal use.
