**About the role**:
The Architecture Manager provides leadership of design services for digital projects, partnering and collaborating to
implement sustainable improvements to solve the challenges faced by the health service and our consumers.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Technology Operations, the role is responsible for comprehending technology
architecture and design requirements for large-scale and complex digital projects, including integration of
technologies across a broad range of architecture domains, to ensure robust solutions are delivered that meet
stakeholder needs and expectations.
This role will require expert knowledge and experience to lead the design, development and implementation of endto
- end solution architecture; ability to influence decision making and lead engagement; and the skills to guide the
development of implementation of new digital capabilities.
**Key Duties and Accountabilities**:

- Provide authoritative, expert and timely advice to the Senior Director Technology Operations, Executive Director of Digital and Information, executive and senior management, and other stakeholders in relation to digital architecture, to ensure the successful planning, delivery and sustainability of digital initiatives.
- Lead the development and ongoing optimisation of a local architecture practice, architecture artefacts and processes to ensure sustainable delivery of digital architecture services to the health service and alignment with Queensland Health and Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
- Lead and manage the successful delivery of architecture services for digital programs and projects, including complex and high-risk digital projects through to minor initiatives, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved and robust solutions are delivered that meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Lead the development of architecture and design documentation for digital projects and initatives, ensuring digital solutions are fit for purpose, meet quality standards, and comply with Queensland Health, frameworks, strategies, and future state architecture.
- Translate business needs for information systems into effective options, deliver detailed design specifications aligned with business requirements and ensure business requirements are sufficiently captured to drive the solution that fully meets the needs and expectations of the business stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of business cases, project plans and project deliverables including the identification of cost estimates, interdependencies, risks and issues identification and development of appropriate mitigation strategies with supportable solutions.
- Lead the development and review of architectural components to be included in procurement documents and participate in due diligence reviews of new solution purchases.
