Aviation Protection Officer – Mildura Airport (Casual)
Ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Prevent prohibited items—such as weapons—from entering the terminal or aircraft through comprehensive screenings including bag searches, hand scans, and the operation of advanced security equipment.
Conduct security screening for passengers, staff, and visitors.
Operate security technology and systems, including metal detectors, X-ray machines and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems.
Perform scans and thorough bag searches as required to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.
Monitor and patrol airport premises to identify and report any security threats or breaches.
Ideal Candidate
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
Requirements
Pass a national security police check.
Pass a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.
