About the Role
Good forklift operators are a rare resource that keep our freight moving, and our customers connected to their communities. Strait Link has a strong respect for this and is offering exciting opportunities for experienced Forklift Operators to join our Logistics team in the Ambient Warehouse at Port Melbourne.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading trucks with care and accuracy
- Scanning and sorting freight ready for dispatch
- Re-palletising and preparing freight for travel
- Safely restraining loads with straps when required
- Reporting any damaged freight and following site procedures
- Following clear instructions and timelines to keep everything on track
- Keeping safety front of mind—always
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
You hold a current and valid Forklift Licence and you are a reliable team player who can also work independently when needed.
- You follow instructions closely and take pride in doing things right the first time
- You have full working rights in Australia
- You bring a high level of attention to detail and are safety-conscious in everything you do
