They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Civil Designer to join their Cairns-based team.
Your new role
As a Civil Designer, you will play a key role in conceptual and detailed design, working alongside engineers, planners, and project managers to shape urban infrastructure. You will be responsible for:
* Designing and drafting civil infrastructure projects using 12D Model and AutoCAD.
* Preparing concept, preliminary, and detailed designs for roads, drainage, sewer, and water systems.
* Collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Engaging with government agencies and private developers to facilitate approvals.
* Supporting junior design team members through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
* Adhering to a Quality Management System.
* Managing cost estimates, bills of quantity, and detailed design reports.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in civil design and drafting, preferably within a consulting environment.
* Proficiency in 12D Model and AutoCAD.
* A strong understanding of civil infrastructure design principles.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a client-focused mindset.
* A commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
