**The Role** 
Hudson has partnered with a high-profile government Commission looking for an experienced APS 5 Procurement Officer to join their team.

**Duties** 
- Support the end-to-end procurement process for the finance, corporate services team. 
- Assist with the development of procurement plans. 
- Under limited direction from the APS6 procurement officer to enter all details and documents into the SAP system for vetting and purchase order creation for non-complex procurements. 
- Promptly respond to business area requests for support, guidance materials, templates and documents using appropriate channels. 
- Prepare and send non-complex Requests for Quotations (RFQs) 
- Assist the Senior Procurement Officer (APS6) with the development and update of procurement policies and guidelines. 
- Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines. 
- Obtain and maintain a sound understanding of Aus 
Tender and its purpose. 
- Provide quality, considered advice on the department's procurement processes, procurement panels and the Australian Government procurement framework. 
- Monitoring contract data and assisting business areas to support contract management. 
- Promote a high standard of procurement practice, sustainable procurement, and engagement with First Nations businesses. 
- Update and maintain the contract register. 
- Assist with Reporting tasks, including Questions on Notice and Senate Estimates/Order enquiries as well as for internal or external stakeholders. 
**Desirable But Not Essential** 
Qualifications in Certificate IV Procurement and/or equivalent experience in Commonwealth procurement
