Due to continued growth & future expansion across our business, we have multiple opportunities available for experienced hydraulic and mechanical fitters. Join an established and successful service team in one of the following roles:
**HYDRAULIC FITTER**:
- Work on a broad range of fixed plant and mobile hydraulic systems and components, performing a wide range of technical jobs from routine proactive maintenance to performing complex diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret schematic diagrams and use test equipment to methodically isolate and diagnose faults including: closed & open loop systems | pressure compensating | load sensed | hydraulic & electronic control systems;
- Experience in breakdown situations;
- Wide range of knowledge & exp with hydraulic components and brands;
- Installation & commissioning of hydraulic systems;
- Mechanical bench work and general machining;
- Repair/refurbish hydraulic cylinders.
**Skills/Experience**:Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Machinist). Must have Fluid Power qualifications & exp. Will suit experienced tradesperson with extensive hydraulic industry knowledge. Demonstrate a high level of engineering/hydraulic technical knowledge with confidence to work independently with mínimal supervision.
**PLANT FITTER**:
- Carry out service and safety inspections on different types of mobile equipment including EWP's and Vehicle Loading Cranes;
- Demonstrated understanding of hydraulic & electronic control and safety systems on a wide range of mobile equipment;
- Structural repairs & maintenance;
- Change out of components;
- Minor welding, fabrication & repairs;
- Function and load testing skills to thoroughly test and quality control all work;
- General preventative maintenance of mobile equipment.
**Skills/Experience**: Cert III Mechanical Engineering or similar Trade eg Heavy Plant Mechanic or Fitter/Welder. Experience with servicing & maintaining a broad range of mobile equipment including truck mounted cranes. Industrial exp with fixed plant. Strong mechanical skills and mindset. Diagnostic and problem solving skills. Crane servicing exp. A good eye for detail. Must be thorough and efficient.
**CRANE FITTER/INSTALLER**:
- An experienced crane specialist
- Installation of vehicle loading cranes
- Manufacture subframes
- Read & interpret engineering drawings
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals and Australian Standards in relation to vehicle loading cranes
- Manufacture of flexible hoses and pipework
- Understanding of crane safety systems and load testing
- Experience with installation of pump & PTOs
- General experience with heavy vehicle modification
- Carry out detailed crane service and safety inspections
**Skills/Experience**: Qualified Fitter & Machinist eg Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Machining). Demonstrated work history within the engineering industry.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
