Primary objective

The position is responsible for the processing of high volumes of grant applications across multiple programs. Important

traits are decision making skills, a strong customer-centric focus, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, strong attention

to detail, integrity and a confident work ethic who effectively embraces change.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Accurately and efficiently assess grant applications in accordance with the mission, intent and goals of the Department.

2. Undertake a range of functions across multiple high-volume grant programs applying governance and compliance

principles.

3. Undertake a range of administrative tasks that support the efficient and compliant management of grants.

4. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve program objectives and deliver accurate and quality information on programs.

5. Identify stakeholders and customer needs and collaborate to optimise customer services, including handling and

resolving queries and complaints.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Experience in following processes to complete assessments, reviews, audits, or similar tasks. Able to make fair and

transparent decisions while considering the broader goals of the Department and needs of the stakeholder or customer.

1. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to check and confirm information submitted against the relevant guidelines.

In particular, commercial structures, projects and services (e.g.: budgets, quotes, invoices, financial statements or

proposals).

1. Ability to think critically to solve problems through research, analysis and good judgement. Able to approach situations

logically and propose practical solutions.

1. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and concisely to help others understand any

issues or outcomes.

1. Can set priorities and manage time and work effectively, adapting to changes or challenges with a positive and flexible

approach.

1. Ability to identify, research and explain new or emerging issues and trends that could impact the objectives of the team

or Department.
