Procurement Analyst
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to contribute to high-profile projects, building procurement expertise across a diverse portfolio, and helping shape the future of Melbourne Airport.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with Category Managers to deliver category plans and sourcing strategies.
* Support the end-to-end sourcing process—from scoping and tendering through to evaluation, negotiation, and award.
* Help drive procurement excellence by streamlining documentation, improving processes, and embedding best practice.
* Undertake supplier cost and performance benchmarking, offering strategic insights.
* Assist in the development of our Supplier Relationship and Performance Management framework.
* Collaborate with Finance to align procurement outcomes with budgeting and forecasting cycles.
* Support the rollout and maintenance of our Procurement Platform and dashboards.
* Provide procurement guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
* Contribute to key strategic initiatives and lead discrete improvement projects.
Requirements:
* Strong analytical and procurement experience.
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience within the industry.
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerBi and procurement platforms.
* Experience across a variety of spend categories and supplier arrangements.
* A solid understanding of procurement governance, policies, and risk management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to juggle competing priorities while keeping your eye on detail.
* A proactive and collaborative mindset, always looking for ways to improve.
