Status: Part time hours per fortnight (9 day fortnight)

Department: Specimen Reception Area
About The Role:
* Data entry and scanning tasks
* Receiving, sorting and processing of samples for testing
* Operation of laboratory equipment for sample processing
* Using laboratory application software
* Apply quality systems & continuous improvement processes
* Maintain clean and safe working environment
* Shifts span the hours of Monday to Friday with every second Thursday off
* This position will eventually include occasional rostered Saturday shifts
Selection Criteria:
1. Self-motivated, with flexible availability to perform a range of shifts between the specified hours.
2. The ability to undertake training and direction and follow procedural documents
3. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of data transfer
4. The ability to work as part of a team in a pleasant and co‑operative manner
5. Great interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
6. The ability to work autonomously to complete tasks on time
7. Previous laboratory experience will be considered an advantage
