Social Life
Chris O'Brien Lifehouse has a vibrant and lively social life for staff. Many of the units organise social events inside the hospital throughout the year as well as social excursions outside the hospital enjoy the many sights, festivals and activities Sydney has to offer.
We have many staff programs including health and wellness programs, salary packaging and financial advice.
Training
Chris O'Brien Lifehouse has an extensive nurse education program with several nurse educators on staff with regular in-house training sessions available to all nursing staff. Nurses are also encouraged to attend conferences, participate in research and post graduate training through our affiliated universities.
Visa and Residency Requirements
All applicants must be legally allowed to work in Australia and will need to obtain either a a working holiday visa (417 visa) or a temporary skilled migration depending on their circumstances. Chris O'Brien Lifehouse can help registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
Education is a priority at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and to enable our nurses to attend conferences, conduct research and further their education, we set up the Keith Cox Clinical Fund. The Fund supports and nurtures nursing and clinical staff by providing financial support for their education. The fund was established through the philanthropic support of our staff and donor community. Thanks to all our supporters, this fund ultimately allows nurses to provide the best possible care to their patients.
