Volunteers will be crucial in ensuring the success of this project.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage the tree planting calendar, including identifying locations and times for planting events
* Work with local communities, environmental groups, and local authorities to secure sites for tree planting
* Organize tree-planting events
* Recruit, train, and engage volunteers for tree-planting events
* Provide guidance and support to volunteers during planting activities
* Ensure a safe and productive environment for volunteers
* Track tree planting progress and document the success of the project
* Monitor the growth and survival rates of planted trees
* Assist in creating reports on tree planting activities and outcomes
* Act as a liaison between the project and the local community, keeping residents informed about the benefits and goals of the tree-planting initiative
* Procure and manage supplies necessary for planting activities
Qualifications
* Proven experience in project management, event coordination, environmental initiatives, or related roles
* Experience in managing teams
* Ability to engage and motivate volunteers and community members
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of tree planting techniques and environmental best practices (preferred, but not required)
* Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
* Must be adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in a team
