**The Team**
The Ranging Team is made up of smart people with smart ideas, helping to co-create the overall category plan right across BIG W. We're a team that is curious, resourceful and willing to experiment with everything that we do. We analyse customer & market insights and data to come up with clear category plans, and we partner with our commercial, stores, marketing and replenishment teams to influence the location, range, price, flow and the shopping experience of our categories.
**The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Space & Range Team as the Head of Customer Range on a 12 month fixed-term contract.
The Head of Customer Range is a key leadership role responsible for driving the transformation of the Big W range capability. Deeply focused on the strategic curation of our range to enable Big W to delight our customers.. They are constantly curious to the needs of our customers, whilst focused on optimising for sales, GP, and availability. You will partner deeply with our commercial buying team to uplift our ranging capabilities and be accountable for enabling best in class ranging outcomes.
**Some other responsibilities would include**:
- Deliver, with the support of the commercial leadership, strategic range reviews in Big W, accurately and on time
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of Commercial teams to influence and achieve the best possible customer outcomes
- Deliver budget sales and profit for Big W through the implementation of all range reviews within designated remit
- Accountable for leading and developing a best in class customer ranging capability for Big W, focused on great customer outcomes
- Accountable for identifying and driving innovation that enhances our capabilities, improves our ways of working and delivers great outcomes for our stores, their teams and our customers
- Deliver a ranging methodology that considers and supports all channels, Bricks and Omnichannel
- Key leadership role in Commercial Enablement, supporting the broader transformation journey
- Partner deeply across the Big W team, with a specific focus on relationships with Commercial, Store Operations, Format, Digital and Replenishment, to secure support and alignment
- Lead & develop the team, building capability and enabling the team to deliver our ambition end to end across Big W while fostering a great team experience
**About You**
To be a successful Head of Customer Range, you will be a people and though leader coming from a commercial/retail background. You will have extensive experience using data analytics and insight to influence stakeholders to achieve a customer-first outcome.
You will also be passionate about leading one of key initiatives to support our BIG W business transformation journey.
**In addition, you will have**:
- Extensive experience in leading a retail Range capability
- 5yr plus Retail / Category management experience
- Proven ability to deliver major end to end transformation initiatives and leading teams
- Customer first mind set
- Ability to make the complex simple when influencing teams and senior stakeholders
