The ProjectThe Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.
The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure.The roleWe are beginning to seek to establish our Precast Production Teams in preparation for tunnelling to commence in early 2026 and are seeking expressions of interests from experienced Gantry Crane Operators to join our dynamic team.
As a Gantry Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of gantry cranes to support all precast activities.
You will work closely with the plant and logistics teams to ensure the timely movement of materials, equipment, and segments, contributing to the smooth progress of the project.
Operate gantry cranes to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and precast tunnel segments safely and efficiently.
Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance to ensure the crane is in safe working condition.
Follow lifting plans and adhere to load limits to ensure safe crane operations.
Collaborate with the TBM and logistics teams to coordinate lifting activities and meet project schedules.
Monitor and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Maintain accurate records of crane operations and lifting activities.
Adhere to all safety protocols, site procedures, and company policies.
Assist with other site duties as required to support project progress.
Qualifications A valid High-Risk Work License for crane operation.
Proven experience operating gantry cranes, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of lifting techniques, load limits, and crane safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and follow instructions accurately.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive approach to safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Flexibility to work in a shift-based environment, including weekends and nights, as required.
