Road Construction & Maintenance Workers – Mid West (Geraldton)

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for upcoming Road Construction & Maintenance Worker roles based in the Mid West – Geraldton area, commencing February, working exclusively on Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) projects and maintenance of MRWA assets.
These roles suit reliable, hands-on people who understand structured, safety-critical environments and take pride in delivering quality work.
About the Role
You will be part of a road construction and maintenance team delivering works on MRWA road infrastructure, including:
* Road construction, reconstruction and maintenance on MRWA road networks
* Culvert and headwall installation and maintenance
* Signage, guidepost and line marking installation and replacement
* Operation of minor plant and equipment
* Traffic management setup and pack-down in accordance with approved MRWA Traffic Management Plans
* Wire rope and W-beam safety barrier repairs
* Vegetation management including bush cutting, pruning and herbicide application
* Graffiti removal and roadside / rest bay maintenance on MRWA assets
* Assisting at incidents in line with MRWA Regional Incident Management Plans
All works are completed in accordance with MRWA Safety, Health and Wellbeing requirements, including electronic reporting and timesheets.
What We're Looking For
Essential requirements:
* Experience in road construction, road maintenance or a similar civil / construction environment
* Ability to read and follow basic technical specifications, drawings and work instructions
* Strong safety focus and ability to work within MRWA systems and procedures
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Basic computer skills
* Current WA Driver's Licence:
* C or C-A class (minimum 2 years), or
* MR class (minimum 1 year)
