MJT Group is currently looking for a General Handyman (Subcontractor) to assist with the maintenance of a select group of residential premises in the Newcastle area, and surrounding areas, and who is willing to tackle a wide range of jobs of all sizes throughout the region, which includes providing estimates.
The role will suit someone who is trustworthy, enjoys a variety of tasks, and can be autonomous.
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
General handyman duties
General maintenance and light repairs
Patching and painting holes in walls and ceilings
Undertake light installation or carpentry.
Repair equipment or appliances
Report any maintenance, or other issues, that require specific expert skills
Requirements and skills:
Proven experience as handyman;
Relevant contractor licenses are in place;
Current drivers licence;
Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment;
Positive communication ability;
Well-organized and apt in problem-solving;
Attention to detail;
Promptness.

Please be advised that the advertised salary is not accurate, as you will not receive a wage as a subcontractor. Instead, your earnings will be based on the work orders or requests provided to you and the fees you charge.

Pay: $285.29 - $473.96 per day
