With our Japanese Desk Service in Australia, we work closely with Japanese companies and provide tailored workforce solutions, including permanent and contract staffing, recruitment process outsourcing and payroll outsourcing primarily to Japanese companies across Australia.
Our client is currently seeking an Accountant Assistant.
This position is a 1-2 year contract, with opportunities for permanent employment.
About the role:
This position will be responsible for supporting Senior Accountant.
* Provide support in maintaining company ledgers and recording daily financial transactions
* Draft and process financial documents including invoices, bills, and purchase orders
* Contribute to the preparation of CAPEX schedules, lease schedules, budgets, and financial statements
* Track office expenses and ensure spending remains within budget guidelines
* Assist with internal and external audits by organizing and submitting required documentation
* Communicate with vendors, clients, and service providers regarding invoicing and payments
* Utilize accounting software to maintain and manage financial records
* Prepare periodic financial reports for the senior accountant
* Help identify and resolve discrepancies in ledgers and financial records
* Ad-hoc tasks within the team.
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following:
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Over 1 year of experience in a similar role
* Qualifications in Accounting e.g., Diploma, Bachelors degree, etc
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Able to handle ad-hoc tasks flexibly
* Japanese Language skills are an advantage.
