Overview
Our Platform Engineers build and improve the cloud platform that enables our developers to deliver high quality software for our customers. Position: Platform Engineer
Key team: You will operate in one of our squads that work within the larger Cloud Platform team. Each squad delivers on its unique missions designing, building, and implementing platform improvements while maintaining our tools and services.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing, developing, and maintaining Terraform modules and configurations to provision and manage AWS resources
* Collaborate with application teams to build solutions to accelerate delivery
* Development and ongoing management of build and deployment pipelines
* Kubernetes management including cluster provisioning, networking, monitoring, and upgrades
* Support cloud operations and troubleshoot issues alongside your team
* Participating in incident response and post-incident analysis for cloud infra issues
* Stay current with industry practices and continuously improve team standards
Qualifications & Experience
* Hands on experience with AWS cloud services in an enterprise environment
* Understanding of Kubernetes architecture and experience deploying applications to a Kubernetes cluster
* Familiarity with Observability concepts and tooling (CloudWatch, Prometheus, New Relic)
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, and networking concepts relevant to cloud environments (VPCs, subnets, routing)
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing
* Interest in cloud technologies and a proactive approach to learning new tools and concepts
* Highly recommended: AWS, Kubernetes or similar certifications
* Desirable: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
