Are you a seasoned Performance Test Engineer with deep expertise in JMeter, performance tuning, and system monitoring? We're seeking a technical expert who can dive into complex systems, deliver detailed analysis, and drive optimisation through innovative performance engineering techniques - including AI solutions.
The role is an initial 6 month contract paying up to $454 plus super per day. Please only apply if you have Australian work rights as, unfirtunately, we cannot sponsor candidates.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead performance testing and engineering initiatives across enterprise-grade systems.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of system architecture, performance metrics, and resource utilisation.
* Deliver expert insight into:
o Heap, GC, memory, and thread dump analysis
o Monitoring traces and transaction/session flows
o Workload modelling and tuning recommendations
* Develop and enhance monitoring alerts, server health checks, and utilisation metrics.
* Provide clear, actionable reporting and communicate insights to stakeholders with confidence.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 8+ years in performance testing, engineering, and analysis.
* Expertise in JMeter scripting and execution.
* Proven ability to implement AI-driven performance insights and automation tools.
* Strong experience with:
o System and application monitoring
o Memory/thread/GC analysis
o User session and transaction-level diagnostics
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Nice to Have
* Prior experience in enterprise or government-scale systems.
* Exposure to DevOps environments and CI/CD integration.
