Job Description

This is an on-site position.

Allied Health Professionals play a diverse role, assisting job seekers with complex barriers to employment by conducting assessments, therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and providing recommendations to vocational and non-vocational services.

* This is a permanent opportunity.
* Full-time hours


Key duties of the role include:

* Conduct assessments of candidates with disabilities and barriers to employment;
* Offer counselling interventions using various psychological methodologies;
* Refer candidates to external support services;
* Evaluate assessments and monitor case progression;
* Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies;
* Provide training and guidance to atWork staff on psychological services and procedures.


Qualifications

* Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology with eligibility for registration with APHRA;
* Qualifications in Counselling or eligibility for membership with ACA / PACFA;
* Experience in employment services is highly regarded but not essential;
* Knowledge of psychology assessment and intervention strategies;
* Exceptional communication and rapport-building skills;
* Ability to produce accurate case reports;
* Ability to work towards positive client outcomes;
* Ability to provide a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and a Working with Children Check.
