This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments for 6-12 months with the possibility of extensions. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur until 30/10/2027.
Position Overview
We offer appointments at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH), a 30 bed purpose-built Mental Health unit, and Cockburn Health, a statewide Mental Health and Addictions standalone facility for women only. Both sites provide multidisciplinary care across mental health, addictions, and behavioural services.
Each appointment involves working closely with the consultant and multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised, safe, and timely care to patients, including in‐patient, out‐patient, and community services.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care in mental health, addictions, and behavioural disorders for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Collaborate with the consultant, team members, and ancillary staff to develop and implement treatment plans.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and care reviews.
* Deliver patient education and discharge planning as part of the care continuum.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must hold appropriate registration as a medical practitioner and meet the criteria for a registrar in psychiatry or a related specialty.
Academic evidence of training in mental health, addiction, and behavioural treatment is required. Evidence of teaching or supervisory ability is desirable.
