With a strong leadership team and a focus on process improvement, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical finance function and make a meaningful impact.About The RoleReporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a broad and hands-on Senior Management Accountant role overseeing financial reporting, project accounting, budgeting, and compliance. You will take ownership of the finance function while working closely with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring accurate cost allocation and job profitability analysis.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance SheetOversight of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesProject reporting and accounting, ensuring accurate cost allocation to jobsWork in progress (WIP) reporting and job profitability analysisManagement of tax and compliance requirements (BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax)Cash flow monitoring and financial risk managementProcess improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiencyBusiness partnering with senior leadership to provide financial insightsLiaising with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodiesSupporting the Head of Finance with strategic financial initiatives and decision-makingSkills and Experience:CA/CPA qualified with strong commercial acumenMinimum 5 years of experience in a Management Accountant or similar role, ideally in construction or project-based industriesStrong understanding of project accounting, WIP reporting, and job costingHands-on approach with a proactive and problem-solving mindsetExperience in financial systems and Excel proficiencyExcellent stakeholder engagement skills to support business-wide decision-makingBenefits:Competitive salary depending on experience.High-visibility role with direct access to executive leadershipGrowing organisation offering career progression and developmentFull-time, Western suburbs office-based role with a collaborative team environmentTo apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
