Perth Children's Hospital seeks experienced Registered Nurses to join its highly skilled perioperative team. As a key member of the hospital's paediatric care delivery network, you will contribute to providing high-quality nursing services in our state-of-the-art operating theatres.
Job Description
In this role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective perioperative care for patients from newborns through to adolescents. Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care using evidence-based practices.
* Participating in patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the healthcare team.
* Providing theatre scrub and scout roles, coordinating with CSSD for sterile equipment.
* Ensuring safe clinical handover to PACU.
* Mentoring and educating junior staff members through guidance and education.
* Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, research activities, accreditation processes, and organisational priorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Experience in perioperative nursing or a strong interest in developing theatre nursing skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Capacity to maintain accurate records and participate in ongoing professional development.
